Special People Deserve a Lunar Eclipse!

Greetings, dear friends,
Well, as the Jack Van Impe says on Channel 40, the End Times are upon us. The world might not be destroyed, but it could definitely take a turn for the worse (and too bad, not really for the better.) But we've got each other, eh? Refer to the cute letter enclosed, which as far as I can tell is not really a chain letter, has no political or artistic agenda, but makes you want to pick up a pet and give it a squeeze...maybe (thanks, Dana and Aunt Nona.)

More my style as far as omens: the moon will turn blood red tonight (27 October) as it plunges into the Earth's shadow. Now THAT'S an omen for you, good or bad. I say good:
Kerry's Electoral Win
Kerry tromps in the electoral college...notice that he can win if this scenario holds WITHOUT Florida, Iowa or Wisconsin.

And MOST IMPORTANT, for all my friends scared of the polls, I found this article quite reassuring:
Poll Results Skewed By Omitting Cell Phones

Anyway, this TOTAL lunar eclipse will last about 75 minutes. On the West Coast from 7.30 to 8.45 PM (weather permitting; it's raining like mad at midnight.) East Coast, 10.30 to just before midnight. European friends, alas, I'll be out watching early, but you'll have to party, party, party all night. The eclipse goes from 3.30 to nearly 5 AM Thursday in your part of the world. More info here:

Oh yeah, and forward (and return, natch) this message along...if you can dare to be adorable.

I know these things take time to read - but it's important to let our friends know they are important to us!

Special People
To the special people in my life. I'm sending this to you to see how many of you actually read your email.Your response will be interesting! Here goes:
Pay attention to what you read. After you've finished reading it, see the reason it was sent to you!

People come into your life for a "Reason," a "Season" or a Lifetime." When you know which one it is for a person, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it's usually to meet a need you've expressed. They've come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered... even if you don't realize it... and now it's time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, row, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. But believe; it is real! But, it's also only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU sent this to every friend that you have online, including the person who sent it to you. (cut and paste it so you don't get all the arrows)
0 Replies - you may need to work on your "people skills"
2 Replies - you are nice but probably need to be more outgoing
4 Replies - you have picked your friends well
6 Replies - you are downright popular
8 Replies or More - you are totally awesome (and that's probably why you're on MY list!)

Every person we meet during our lives leaves footprints on our hearts. May the footprints I leave on your heart be softly tread, not stomped.
Here's to Planet Earth, Joel
